Let’s build
around your business.

Give your team a system that works the way they do — schedules, training, documents, and the details that keep your business moving, connected in one workspace built around you.

The problem

Your business already has a system.
It’s just spread across six different places.

One connected system

All the moving parts.
A more connected whole.

Built around the business

We don’t start with software. We start with how your business works.

01

Discovery

We watch how your team actually works — the schedule, the shortcuts, the workarounds — before we design anything.

02

Architecture

We map your workflows into a system structure: what connects to what, who needs to see it, and where the friction is.

03

Custom Interface

We design the workspace around your language and your roles — not a generic dashboard everyone has to adapt to.

04

Connected System

The pieces come together into one place your team actually uses, with room to grow as your business does.

Real client work

Tailwaggers × Foundation Tech

Built by Foundation. Made for Tailwaggers. Named WagVault.

Tailwaggers is an independent, real-world pet retailer. WagVault is the proprietary system Foundation built specifically for their business — it belongs to Tailwaggers. Every Foundation client gets a system scoped to their own operation, with their own name on it.

01 / 06Welcome

Welcome

Their own front door

The first screen a Tailwaggers team member sees — built with their identity, not a generic login page.

A familiar place to begin

Simple, branded access into the workspace — no separate app to explain, no unfamiliar interface.

Workspace Tour

A guided start to the workspace

New team members get oriented inside the system itself, scoped to what their role actually needs.

New-Look Welcome

Help people find their way

As WagVault evolved, the welcome experience evolved with it — still unmistakably Tailwaggers.

Training Center

Training resources, together

Courses, modules and reference material live in one place instead of scattered PDFs and binders.

Training Academy

Learning with a Tailwaggers identity

Progress, levels and badges turn required training into something the team actually wants to finish.

What Foundation builds

Examples of what could be connected.

Not every project includes every capability below — these are examples of what a Foundation-built system can bring together, scoped to what your business needs.

Shift Coverage

A team that stays in sync

Scheduling, time-off requests, and shift coverage that stay connected — so a callout doesn't turn into a group text chain.

Role-Based Learning

Learning that feels relevant

Training paths scoped to each role, so a new hire sees what matters for their job first — not a generic onboarding packet.

Document History

Clarity, with a paper trail

SOPs and policies with version history and read acknowledgements, so everyone can point to what's current and who's seen it.

Communications

A place for the conversation

Questions, answers, and team notices that live with the work itself — instead of scattered across texts and email threads.

Reporting & Goals

The day, brought together

End-of-day reports, operational dashboards, and goals your managers can actually act on — with AI-assisted summaries for human review.

Custom Workflows

And the things only you need

The parts of your operation that don't fit a template — built as their own workflow, scoped to how your business actually runs.

In development

From the back office to the checkout counter.

Foundation is extending the same approach — understand the operation, then build around it — into point-of-sale and retail-management systems, with independent retail pet stores as an early focus.

This is a direction Foundation is actively building toward, not a shipped product. Planned areas include checkout, product catalog, inventory, customer profiles, sales reporting, and multi-location management.

Who this is for

Built for small and mid-sized businesses.

Independent retail

Single-location shops that have outgrown paper schedules and text-message coordination.

Pet stores

Retail and service operations with training, grooming, and product knowledge to track.

Multi-location businesses

Teams that need consistency across locations without losing the details that matter locally.

Service businesses

Field or appointment-based teams juggling scheduling, documentation, and client communication.

Growing local businesses

Teams that have scaled past what a shared spreadsheet or generic app was ever meant to handle.

Spreadsheet-reliant teams

Operations held together by someone's personal system — with no backup if that person is out.

Los Angeles & Southern California

Custom software for businesses across Los Angeles.

Foundation works with Los Angeles and Southern California businesses whose day-to-day operations don’t fit into generic, off-the-shelf software — independent retailers, service teams, and growing operations with their own way of doing things.

Work happens remotely and in person where it’s useful, so the conversation starts with your operations, not your zip code.

Talk through your workflow

How we work together

A conversation. Then a foundation.

01

Show us how you work

A direct conversation about your team, your tools, and where things get complicated.

02

Shape the right system

We design the workflows and structure that fit — not a template stretched to fit you.

03

Build, review, refine

We build, you review, and we adjust — so the system holds up against how your team really works.

A personal approach

Good software starts with understanding people.

Foundation Tech is led directly by Kyle — every initial consultation, every system design decision, every build. That means a direct line to the person building your software, not a layer of account managers between you and the work.

FAQ

A few good questions

No. Foundation Tech designs and builds a system around your business — your workflows, your language, your structure. It isn't a shared platform you log into alongside every other customer.

WagVault is the name Tailwaggers gave to the system Foundation built for them — it belongs to Tailwaggers. Your business would get its own system, built around how your team actually works, with its own name if you'd like one.

It depends on scope — how many workflows you want connected, how many people will use it, and how much custom design work is involved. Pricing, delivery, and ownership are worked out together during the initial conversation, not quoted from a fixed menu.

Timelines depend on scope and complexity. A focused first version — covering a handful of core workflows — typically moves faster than a full multi-department system. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand what you need.

Yes. Most engagements start narrow — one or two workflows that are causing the most friction — and grow from there as the system proves useful to your team.

Los Angeles and Southern California are our primary focus, but the work is done remotely and in-person where useful, so the right fit matters more than location.
